The
countdown to release day has ended. The long-awaited
new strawpeople album 'count backwards
from 10' will be in stores from today, August 9
(it may
take a couple of days to reach shop shelves outside
the main centres).

(featuring Fiona McDonald)

TXT Contest.
You may come across some TXT
contests on street posters and magazine
advertisements during the next month or so to win
strawpeople prize packs. These are all prize draws
and there are no instant prizes. Each contest has
one main prize of a strawpeople CD collection comprising all available Sony
strawpeople albums
(broadcast, vicarious, best of, no new messages,
count backwards from 10),
and a selection of back-catalogue CD-Singles
(spoiler, taller than god, beautiful skin, drive,
scared of flying, boxers),
plus a strawpeople A1 sized street poster.
Runners
up in each contest will win a strawpeople A1
sized street poster plus 3 strawpeople CDs of
their choice
(selected from broadcast, vicarious, best of, no new
messages, count backwards from 10).

The new strawpeople.co.nz website has now
gone live, though there are still more treats to be
added, including samples from 2 songs from COUNT
BACKWARDS FROM 10 each day between August 2 and 7,
and the full video for No One Like You.
Also
some behind the scenes footage shot by Paul Casserly
during the making of 'Count Backwards from 10' will
be coming soon, plus additional information on the
strawpeople singles in the music section.
And there are still some archival photos to add into
the pix gallery.
